We’ve finished our regular get-togethers for this 2011 season with the last having been the end of season road trip to Sheriffmuir Inn on 22nd October 2011. We’ll start up again next year around Easter / likely the 4th Saturday of March or April 2012 – depending on the weather - as usual at Linlithgow Farmers Market. To join us just turn up at 9.30 at The Cross.

We’ll also be getting together for a couple of socials over the Winter around about Christmas and New Year. We’ll post times and places in advance.

We’re looking forward to seeing you then!

Two Bridges Road Run to Fife

On Saturday 24th September after our usual Farmers Market appearance eight of us ventured out on our 1st scheduled meeting road run. We headed for Fife across the two bridges in gloriously sunny weather. The Elgin Hotel in Charlestown was our venue of choice for lunch, used by many other classic car clubs. The pic shows the guys looking for the way home!

Linlithgow Classic Car Day 2011

Once again for our 2nd classic car day the weather smiled upon us and a brilliant day was had by all. We attracted about the same number of cars as last year but a complete change with many more classics and fewer super cars than last year. Bathgate car & bike event sizzles in the sun!

We took a number of cars over the hills to Bathgate Steelyard recently on 30th July to support Enterprising Bathgate in their new local event and you can follow some of the detail courtesey of Alastair’s clip.

We were joined by the XMembers rods and custom cars – http://www.xmembers.co.uk (see pics http://www.badgersb.com/galleries/bathgate%20custom%20show2011/bathgate.html) and the Dunedin chapter of the Harleys and a great morning was had by all…..including those who were interviewed by Radio Grapevine!

Linlithgow Classics entering the Marches Procession

We were out in force at the Marches where we had a number of cars out in the procession…..Austin Healey, Sunbeam Talbot, Austin 7 Van, Morgan Sports, Rover, and Jeep.

You need full gear to survive Marches Day.......Joe and the Jeep all set to go!

Welcome to Linlithgow Classics

Welcome to Linlithgow Classics, the website of Linithgow Classic Car Group . We’re a group of classic car owners and enthusiasts based in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland, about 15miles to the west of Edinburgh.

The season really gets going from about April until October, during which time we meet up regularly to show the cars at the Farmers Market in the centre of Linlithgow generally held on the 4th Saturday of the month. We also visit other classic car events, shows, car museums and competitions around the country, and meet up just for a laugh, a bit of chat, food + drink, and a bit of old car driving.

We started up in 2007 with three or four members and now we’re up to about 40…….the more the merrier!

Anyone in the town or the wider area with an old, classic or interesting car or vehicle is very welcome to come and join us.

Linlithgow Classics Car Day 2010

On Sunday 5th September in glorious sunshine we hosted our very 1st Linlithgow Classics Car Day + attracted about 60 classic cars from car clubs + individual owners from round the country .

Minister of Culture + External Affairs Appreciates the Classics!

Fiona Hyslop MSP (http://www.fionahyslop.com/) took time out in her busy schedule of electioneering to visit our 1st Farmers Market show of the 2010 season on Saturday 24th April. The yellow Westfield must have caught the Minister’s eye as being the right colour for the SNP..!

A busy weekend at the Ferry Fair + Biggar Classic

The group joined in the fun to support this year’s Ferry Fair in South Queensferry in glorious sunshine on Saturday 14th August. We joined the Jowett Owners Club + other local classics in the cavalcade to wow the local population. Real fun…everyone should try it!

The day after on Sunday 15th a number of the group also visited the Biggar Classic Show – a sea of classic cars, commercial vehicles, miltary vehicles, fire engines + motor bikes, together with classic jumble + stalls….another great day out in the sun.

Mobile Communication with our Dutch Telecom Visitors

To start our 2010 season we took a few cars to sunny Winton House near Pencaitland on Friday 16th April to entertain a party of Dutch telecom (kpn) business visitors, as part of their weekend visit to Scotland arranged by HelloScotland! (http://www.helloscotland.com/) and Kingsfield Leisure. The Dutch gentlemen loved the Ferrari + the Jag but the ladies loved the sports cars….dankuwel..!
