Linlithgow Classic Car Day & Road Run – Sunday 25th August 2024

Arrangements are now being put in place for the 13th Linlithgow Classic Car Day & Road Run on Sunday 25th August 2024. After successfully restarting the show post-Covid we’re very much back in business once again for the classic car show, going from strength to strength in popularity; and we look forward to welcoming back both entrants and the general public.  Thanks go to all our sponsors again this year, without which the show wouldn’t happen.

As in previous years arrival time for registration will be at 09:00-10.30am at the Park Bistro on the link road past Kingsfield Golf Centre between the A803 and the B9080 (beside the Millennium Link canal east of Linlithgow (https://theparkbistro.co.uk) and tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be available.

Entry numbers and all instructions will be issued at registration.  Registration can also be at the rear of Linlithgow Cross at event control before 12noon if early arrival isn’t possible.

Apart from the car show itself, which is held in a fully open and operational town centre, there are a huge number of places to visit in the surrounding area and Linlithgow Town Centre including Linlithgow Palace and Blackness Castle (both on the ‘Outlander Trail’), the 13th century St Michael’s Church, and the local museum among others. There are numerous cafes, bars, and restaurants many overlooking the car show for lunch, ice cream, or food and drink, and most local shops are also open on a Sunday for a bit of browsing or shopping.

The static car show itself will be held in and around Linlithgow Town Centre (round Linlithgow Cross and along the Vennel/High Street) from after 12.30pm until 4.30-5.00pm.  There’ll be as usual prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best car of the show – selected by the driver entrants themselves. The prize-giving will be made about 3.30-4.00pm. We’ve had visiting cars from all over the country, which have previously won each of these prizes.

There’s no fee for entry and the cars are on hard surfacing all day – so no need to worry about being stuck in a muddy field! We’ve also been lucky in our previous 12 years of shows as it’s only rained twice.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all again on the day!
