Even the local Linlithgow Gazette thought the day was a success!

Under a sunny sky once again – even though the forecast was grim – the classic car day was the biggest and best yet with about 185 cars present, which was a tight squeeze at times. Cars and car clubs from all over Scotland and a couple of visitors from the continent saw another excellent day out.

Most of the cars gathered at the Park Bistro for registration in the morning followed by the road run round the local countryside to Harry Ramsden’s at South Queensferry for a tea/coffee and a bite to eat, returning at lunchtime with great fanfare to Linlithgow town centre at lunchtime.  Music and commentary was provided by Radio Grapevine and the show was formally opened by Cllr Tom Kerr Provost of West Lothian Council.

Best car of the show 1st prize went to Thomas Ritchie’s marvellous 1926 Austin 20 (for the 2nd time in 3 years).
