Welcome to season 2016.
As usual this season the date of our regular monthly meeting between April and September/October will be on the 4th Saturday morning of the month on the pavement at the Vennel beside the library.
The diary of events (subject to review and update) is set out below.
(1) Saturday 23/04/16 – Season start up and drive out day. Chilly but sunny and a good turn out to start the season.
(2) Sunday 15/05/16 – Stirling & District Car Club show at Bridge of Allan (entries by 24/04/16 to show@sdccc.co.uk).
(3) Saturday 21/05/16 – Morris Leslie Vehicle Auctions at Errol Airfield.
(4) Saturday 28/05/16 – 2nd monthly meeting and road run to lunch.
(5) Sunday 05/06/16 – Thirlestane Castle Historic Motoring Extravaganza (entries by 17/04/16 to entries@bvav.org.uk).
(6) Thursday 09/06/16 – ‘Event in the Tent’ beer & chat evening – the guys enjoyed the beer festival!
(7) Sunday 12/06/16 – Tayside Classic at Errol Airfield (entries by 14/05/16 to jimary.mcleod9x@tinyworld.co.uk) – unfortunately very wet.
(8)Tuesday 14/06/16 – Linlithgow Marches Procession – and the Best Local Entry Gazette Cup won last year retained again!
(9) Sunday 19/06/16 – Hopetoun International Horse Trials Classic Car Display – good turn out with 13no cars.
(10) Saturday 25/06/16 – 3rd monthly meeting and road run to lunch – attendance with 19no cars.
(11) Saturday/Sunday 09-10/07/16 – Scottish Transport Extravaganza at Glamis Castle (entries by 20/05/16 to lesley@svvc.co.uk) – another damp Perthshire event!
(12) Saturday 23/07/16 – 4th monthly meeting and road run to lunch – record attendance with 21 cars.
(13) Saturday 13/08/16 – Ferry Fair Cavalcade, South Queensferry – time: 1030-12noon (annual invitation received) – attended with 12 cars.

(14) Sunday 14/08/16 – Biggar Rally – major classic show in the field outside Biggar…definitely worth attending (entries by 27/06/16 to helenc@biggar-albion.org.uk).
(15) Saturday 27/08/16 – 5th monthly meeting and road run to lunch and dry-run for the big day tomorrow!
(16) Sunday 28/08/16 – 7th Linlithgow Classic Car Day…..our BIG event and it was the best yet. We even do birthday cakes and fizz…..happy birthday to Robin!
(17) Saturday/Sunday 03-04/09/16 – Boness Hill Climb Revival weekend.

(18) Saturday/Sunday 10-11/09/16 – Scone Palace Classic.
(19) Saturday 24/09/16 – 6th monthly meeting. Weather held up nicely long enough for 19 cars present, but no road run to lunch due to the rain later.
(20) Sunday 25/09/16 – Melville Castle Hotel, Midlothian Classic Car Event – (possible event subject to confirmation & invitation received).
(21) Thursday 29/09/16 – Beer & Chat evening – 8pm in the Auld Hole in the Wa’- another good turnout.

(22) Saturday 22/10/16 – 7th monthly meeting and road run to lunch – last scheduled season meeting subject to weather and it held up nicely with 20 cars out for the end of the season!
