Welcome to season 2019.
As usual this season the date of our regular monthly meeting between April and September/October is on the 4th Saturday morning of the month at Linlithgow Cross in the town centre between 0930/1000 and lunchtime.
The diary of events (subject to review and update) is set out below.
(1) Saturday 27/04/19 – 1st monthly meeting at Linlithgow Cross – Season start up and drive out day – 18-20 cars out for the season start – a great result.
(2) Sunday 12/05/19 – Stirling & District Car Club show at Bridge of Allan (entries by 12/04/19 to show@sdccc.co.uk).
(3) Saturday 25/05/19 – 2nd monthly meeting at Linlithgow Cross – another 20-odd cars even in the showers!
(4) Sunday 02/06/19 – Thirlestane Castle Historic Motoring Extravaganza (entries by 13/04/19 to entries@bvac.org.uk).
(5) Sunday 09/06/19 – Tayside Classic at Errol Airfield (entries by 12/05/19 to jimary.mcleod9x@tinyworld.co.uk) .
(6) Saturday 15/06/19 – Edinburgh West End BID Classic Vehicle Event (entries by 30/04/19) – various cars entrered.
(7) Sunday 16/06/19 – SRPS Boness – Fathers Day Classic Vehicle Event (entries unrestricted date to enquiries@srps.org.uk).
(8) Tuesday 18/06/19 – Linlithgow Marches Procession – really need to win back the Best Local Entry Gazette Cup won in 2015 and 2016!
(9) Saturday 29/06/19 – 3rd monthly meeting at Linlithgow Cross. (Date change from 22nd due to conflict with Linlithgow Bridge Childrens Gala Day Parade).
(10) Saturday-Sunday 13/07/19-14/07/19 – 45th Scottish Transport Extravagnza at Glamis Castle (entries by 20/05/19 to Lesley@svvc.co.uk).
(11) Sunday 21/07/19 – Almond Valley Vintage Rally at SRUC Oatridge College, Ecclesmachan (open entries to cherie finlay 01506-834664).
(12) Saturday 27/07/19 – 4th monthly meeting at Linlithgow Cross.
(13) Saturday 03/08/19 – Winchburgh Classic Car Show (Winchburgh Church Grounds – 1000-1400). Good turn out in the sunshine with our nine adding to the others at the show, which raised £1,350 for church repair funds.
(14) Saturday 10/08/19 – Ferry Fair Procession South Queensferry – morning only – and the weather held out!
(15) Sunday 11/08/19 – Biggar Rally at Show Field Biggar (pre 1982 vehicles only) (entries by 30/06/19 to helenc@biggar-albion.org.uk).
(16) Saturday 17/08/19 – Charity Classic / Vintage Car Show – Conifox Adventure Park, Kirkliston (invitation received). Replacement to Hopetoun House Classic event.
(17) Saturday 24/08/19 – 5th monthly meeting at Linlithgow Cross.
(18) Sunday 25/08/19 – 10th Linlithgow Classic Car Day & Jim Clark Memorial Road Run – our BIG EVENT! (entries by 11/08/19 to linlithgowclassics@gmail.com).
(19) Saturday-Sunday 31/08/19-01/09/19) – Bo’ness Hill Climb Revival (entries to cliff@bonessrevival.co.uk).
(20) Saturday 28/09/19 – 6th monthly meeting at Linlithgow Cross.
(21) Saturday 26/10/19 – 7th and final monthly meeting – weather permitting.
