The Monthly Meeting

Hello for the 2023 season.

For obvious lockdown related reasons we’ve had a pretty quiet past couple of years, although we’re now back up and running for our 16th year in a row since 2007. The weather so far this season has been okay so few meetings and get together have been missed.

Our monthly get togethers are on the 4th Saturday of every month, normally from April – depending upon the weather – until September or October. We’re generally located at the Cross in the centre of Linlithgow, which gives us lots of room for the cars.

Soaking up the sun on 22/06/13

As usual we’ll begin by meeting up at the Cross. To join us just turn up from 09.45 onwards for bacon rolls and tea/coffee. Later in the morning we’ll head out for a road run to somewhere finishing off with lunch.

Over the past few seasons we’ve reached the Elgin Hotel in Charlestown Fife (now the Inn at Charlestown), the Sheriffmuir Inn (now closed), the Torphichen Inn, the Bonsyde Manor (now closed), the Bridge Inn, the Park Bistro, the South Queensferry Two Bridges Hotel (now Thirty Knots), the Red Lion pub in Culross, the Bridge 49 bistro near Muiravonside, and most recently the Newton Inn at Newton (now the Fat Pheasant).   Ideas for road run destinations and other lunch venues this season welcome.
